Domain Names
Before you can launch your website, you’ll need a “domain” name. This is usually your business name, or a variation of, where visitors will find your website, and includes an extension such as .com or .net.
Simply, a domain name is your address on the internet.
For example:
www.yoursitename.com
We’ll locate your preferred name and extension (.com, .net, .org and others) and if available, will acquire and register it on your behalf. If your preferred name is not available, we’ll work with you on selecting an alternate.
If your site name is particularly unique, we often recommend as many versions available to protect your brand from impostors. For example, if you owned yoursitename.com, you might also consider registering:
yoursitename.net | yoursitename.org | yoursitename.us
We’ll advise you of available extensions and variations of your preferred domain name, so you can decide which best identifies your organization.
You will be the registered owner of the domain for the length of term you specify, from 1 to 10 years.
By default, we will register your domain for 1 year, included in your website package. If you register additional domain names, we can point all addresses to the same website, so you only pay for creating and hosting one website.
